audience - effects theory

 Audience effect theory

passive audience - This is the view that audiences passively take in information from the media and that these messages have the same effect on everyone.

active audienceThis is the more modern and generally accepted view that audiences interact with and make conscious choices regarding the media they consume.

hypodermic needle -This is the suggestion that audiences are always passive and therefore take the intended message from the producer as if it was injected into their minds. This assumes no individual difference in audience members.

Information / surveillance
media text - squid game , it tells us all about how the game started and the characters background

personal identity -The players of Squid Game are not randomly selected. They all struggle with financial problems like debt, gambling, unemployment, or family issues.

entertained - the audience stays entertained as you are interested to see who will win or lose , or even what will happen next . And also how there are games during the episodes.

relationships - this is used in the game as people gain deep and pure relationships within a show with lots or backstabbing .

5 - in the clip of blue planet , David Attenborough uses 4 significant elements which offers the audience pleasures or gratification. this is as first of all it showed in the entertainment/ diversion part of the clip.
