Gender Representations in Advertising   1) Find  three  adverts featuring women that are from the 1950s or 1960s.         2) Find  three  adverts featuring women that are from post-2000.  3) What stereotypes of women can you find in the 1950s and 1960s adverts? Give specific examples. women in the kitchen or managing families. 4) What stereotypes of women can you find in the post-2000s adverts? Give specific examples. inferior to me , bad drivers , powerless , sexualised or focused on domestic duties 5) How do your chosen adverts suggest representations of gender have changed over the last 60 years?  it shows that over the years women have become more sexualised , the men also do more domestic duties such as cooking and cleaning.

Advertising key conventions 1) What key conventions of print adverts can you find and what are the connotations or deeper meanings of each convention? Slogan : the quote is telling us its like a heavenly experience like tasting the raainbow and also how the colour of the skittles is like a rainbow .  Colour scheme : the colours are really vibrant to catch your eye  Logo : the logo in on a packet of the actual product which will be easier for someone to find it in shops  Products : all the skittle are arranged in a rainbow and big enough to see   2) What is the USP (unique selling point) for Skittles and how do you know?
