Advertising key conventions

1) What key conventions of print adverts can you find and what are the connotations or deeper meanings of each convention?

Slogan : the quote is telling us its like a heavenly experience like tasting the raainbow and also how the colour of the skittles is like a rainbow . 
Colour scheme : the colours are really vibrant to catch your eye 
Logo : the logo in on a packet of the actual product which will be easier for someone to find it in shops 
Products : all the skittle are arranged in a rainbow and big enough to see  

2) What is the USP (unique selling point) for Skittles and how do you know? Does the advert use any of persuasive techniques listed above?

I would say the USP is the sweet being colourful , I know this because the rainbow colours will attracts little kids. Yes it uses all the techniques such as slogan colour scheme, logo, background, pictures.

Part 2: Advert research

1) An advert with a clear brand identity

Coca-Cola.

2) An advert that uses shock tactics or a controversial idea

Pringles stuck-in commercial.

3) An advert that creates a a strong emotional connection to the audience

Nikes campaign 'Just Do It'.
